You gave Nylander too much, all 4 UFAs are not being signed, Rosen could not make the NHL roster he is not getting 1+ mil, Horton goes and eats burgers on LTIR, Leivo is not coming back, and Goat is borderline out of this sport soon so he is not making 1.1.

why do people think a player that is on LTIR handcuffs a team? Players leave as UFA because they have they can go to 31 teams and get the best contract. as a result the leafs won't be resigned gardiner, similarly they didn't sign Jvr, Bozak,komarov or polak this summer, but they did sign Tavares. eliminate the 5.3 for Horton and the 6.25 for gardiner and the leafs are under the cap.

Horton’s LTIR won’t have any affect on what the leafs do.
A team can spend over the cap by 20% during the off season as long as the moment the regular season goes live that team is at or under the cap. So it won’t have any bearing In regards to who they sign during the off season.
The moment the regular season goes live LTIR players’s cap hit basically goes poof except when it comes to bonus money.
The Leafs are fine and will get the big 3 under contract, it may mean some of the support cast gets traded but that’s business.

They didn't sign this years ufa crop because they stuck at hockey. Sorry JVR, you've got a scoring touch down low but that's it.

Gardiner gets resigned this year in fact he may even be priority 1 before Nylander.
