Description
Keeping the third line equipped with wheels, while also taking a chance on two young players in Honka and Ho-Sang. If they don't work out, not much is lost, apart from Määttä, whom everyone seems to think is a solid top 4 defenseman somehow.

Have Nash play pk and try out Josh on the pp, cause why not

Hagelin would be a cap dump, so I don't think you can get one of (if not) the Islanders top prospect as a return.

They're not big on him as far as I can tell, and don't see it getting better with Lou, but what do I know. He's also like 22... Realistically you could even retain like a mil on Hagelin, but I don't think he's unworthy of 4 in a world with a 79.5 mil cap. Injury concerns though...

That is true, Ho-Sang seems to have mixed reviews. While he may not be as highly touted as he once was, I still feel that he has more trade value. I could see them taking on Hagelin as a one year cap dump (who still has upside as you say), but that would be the start I would think.

That would be a huge downgrade for the Pens. Maatta is a good top 2 pair defenseman, trading him away and his years of control on a reasonable deal would be a body blow for the Pens Cup hopes the next few years.

I just disagree. I don't think he's very good at all, and not worth his contract.
