1. Phil would NEVER waive his NTC to go to a team with Torterella on it
2. What do you do when Panarin doesn't resign

No..... Panarin isn’t getting traded in division and do you really think Kessel would fit well in the style of game Columbus plays???? Oh and not to mention Tortz and Kessel wouldn’t get along. Also Kessel would request a trade before even getting on the plane.

Also that trade could use some work. Columbus gets screwed pretty bad.

As much as I would like both Panarin and Milano with the Pens I like the fact Phil is locked in for 4 more years. Panarin will probably walk and the Pens would have traded away a proven goal scorer for 1 year of Panarin. I appreciate the different trade scenario than Patches or Skinner.

Panarin is great, but while he's 4 years younger than Kessel, he's also going to re-sign for considerably more. Kessel is playing at a discount in Pittsburgh as they are only paying $6.8M per year, Panarin is probably looking at $10M a year next offseason. No way the Pens can afford that.

Panarin has already stated that he wants to to either NYC, LA or CHI he's not going to Pittsburgh no way.
