I don't know where you heard it, but the Jets would be hard-pressed to give Patches what he is asking for. So it would be a one-year stint. Besides Mtl is looking for centers and defense, not to add to their already crowded lists of wingers...

Montreal fans seem to have lot "trade whisperers" in their ears. It's always the same, a first rounder and more for an extended Patches. Of all the teams to trade to, the Jets who have Ehlers and Connor at LW.
