Canucks load up with first round pick for the draft in Vancouver. Try to trade up for higher first round picks if the do not get 1st overall (which prolly wno't happen)

Easy no from Canes. Pair of average players for 1st is rough enough, adding salary when they are trying to shed it makes no sense either.

car has the cap to make this trade actually if u weren't aware. Sutter is a player that would make your cente depth better and brings leadership to the locker room with veteran experience. The only thing is that he prolly wouldnt waive his NTC to go to Carolina

Just out of curiosity, is it possible that Tanev gets traded to any team besides Leafs? I betcha every possible Leafs pick/player combo for Tanev .....trades in the hundreds of millions has been tried on this site.

Well aware. Apparantly you aren’t. What they don’t have is the resources. Which is why they are shedding payroll to keep cost down. That’s what happens when you play to 50% capacity. They will stay close to the cap floor unless it’s for a marquee player.

Well the leafs have shown interest in him for the past season or so, not the canucks trying to ship him there bud.

I did not say they were going to. I said that is the only way they are taking on more salary. That or vets with big cap hits but low actual salaries.

What they are not going to do is add 8m in salary for 3rd line center and 3rd pair D man that block the paths of cheap young talent and give up a 1st to do it.

Bruins would give you Cehlarik and 3rd for Sutter if you retained half.
