no one is going to trade anything of value for a goalie making 10.4 million a year for 8 years.

Just what the Leafs want, 16m in goalies. Just grateful McCarron wasn't included in the deal.

Right... why should the leafs do that? Giving up and Kadri and Nylander to get a goalie that will be overpayed for 8 years to get a top 6 winger they don't need because they are stacked up front. And also giving up on of the best 1 to 3 C in the League? They also don't need to trade Hortons contract because they have a lot of money and will simply place him on LTIR.
Additionally they need their cap space to resign Matthews, Marner and Nylander(>Pacioretty) rather than aquiring a goalie who maybe isn't even an upgrade on Andersen and makes double the Dollars.
