Description

There is no way the Senators can keep Karlsson so they try to maximize the return into immediate production in Haula (29G) and Brannstrom (pro-ready) plus they add a 1st rounder.

That creates a hole in RD and the Sens fill the hole with Faulk for a cheap price. The Canes need a C, plus they add a good prospect and a pick

Couple problems here. First problem is both those trades are wildly lopsided and get rejected. Problem two is who cares if they finish last? I know they don't have the pick but it's gone...time to move on

I actually like the CAR trade. Batherson is actually pretty solid and Pageau is a decent 3C. That plus what will inevitably be a high second pick, I think the Canes take that deal.

By adding those guys, watch the Sens do amazingly well and finish like where Carolina did last year. Then get even more “luckier” and win the first overall!
