You know you can't get all those players without even sending one of your 4 best prospects, right? I mean, how stupid do you think the other 30 GM's are?

The proposed offer to Ottawa includes Philippe Myers, one of our top prospects. Not really a huge fan of all the trades, but I proposed this Karlsson deal a while back:

Philadelphia Flyers
Erik Karlsson (with extension)

Ottawa Senators
Philippe Myers
Isaac Ratcliffe
Rights of Linus Hogberg
2019 1st round pick (PHI)
2020 2nd round pick (PHI)

I see pretty much every PHI trade for EK using Myers as the defensive centerpiece (which is fine), but wouldn't Sanheim make more sense? He's probably viewed as more valuable by most GM's, is considered an offensive defense-man, which with EK, Ghost, and Provy we'll have plenty of offense from the back-end, and Myers is our only real RHD prospect/part of our future. Wouldn't we rather trade a LHD for a RHD at this point? and run a top 4 of;

Provy - EK
Ghost - Myers

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills lol

I am a flyers fan, and I agree: We're never winning the cup with this goaltending. Look at the list of goaltenders to wear the flying P since 1987: Stand-up style Hextall, Dominic Rousell, Tommy Soderstrom, BACK to stand-up Hextall, Garth Snow, aging Sean Burke, aging Beezer, "Nitty!", "Head save" Roman Cechmanik, Brian Boucher, "The Universe!" Bryz (HA!), Biron, Robert Esche, Emery, Michael Leighton, Boucher (again), Bobrovsky (Future Vezina winner who we traded away for....), Steve "200 ft" Mason, Neivy, Mrazek, Elliott......WOW! That is a crack squad of savay, motivated number 1's, right?

They're always SO GOOD everywhere else in their lineup, yet will always lose because the most important position in the NHL is ignored. It's sad, really. Hopefully one of the prospects pan out, but they're not ready this year. Face it: Unless we get better goaltending, we're just giving away money to watch a team not win a championship.

Do you know that for every ticket we buy, we're still paying a tax on Bryzgalov's contract!? Seriously! The Flyers are still paying him until the end of the 2019-2020 season....I mean, seriously. That's insanity. Even more insane? He was probably the best we've had in between 1987 through to today, and that's counting Hextall's rookie Vezina/Conn Smyth season.

Hextall isn't trading Myers, end of story. Also, EK is going to want $10+ mil and it is just stupid to pay any D man that kind of money so I really hope the Flyers don't try and get him.
