I am so excited to how badly Ottawa fans meltdown when Karlsson does not get half the return they think he will get. This one is just insane

Actually it would be an interesting trade if the Jets are "going for it this year". Term wise, it's one year of EK and one year of Duchene for two years of Trouba. The second rounder of Ottawa and first pick of Winnipeg almost cancel themselves out, so the premium that Winnipeg pays is really Lemieux. Lowry and the other 1st.....just might be pretty fair.

How's this idea. Jets need to jettison cap 2019/20 so instead of Lowry and Lemieux, they trade some cap so they two capable NHLers to the Sens such as Perrault and Kullivov.
Karlsson and Duchene for Trouba, Perrault, Kulivov and two firsts

With Wheeler, Connor, Laine and Myers all up for new deals next season, how does this even work for Winnipeg? Karlsson and Duchene are not guys you grab just to let walk. They couldn't make Stastny work. Also the return for those two players is pretty low. Lemieux and Lowry are bottom 6 guys, the 1sts are low end picks that are 'overvalued' first rounders and Trouba walks at first chance. There needs to be prospects going back to Ottawa in a deal.

Jets DO NOT add Adam Lowry to this deal. Trouba is understandable because of the contract status and the fact they're getting EK to fill the void this year and make a cup run but Adam Lowry is as important to this franchise as Mark Scheifele and people outside the organization though I don't expect you'd know that, should be aware he's pretty much untouchable! Heck even fans in WPG don't truly understand Lowrys importance to the team!

First off Winnipeg can't afford a $11 million per Erik Karlsson, Karlsson wants to play in the States any ways. And secondly no way in hell would Trouba commit long term with Ottawa.
