nope, pacioretty needs a new contract and sucks. bellows is a great prospect and will probably be like patches when he was good. two second round picks for pacioretty or no deal

Five time 30 goal scorer has a bad year, so he sucks? And this is Kieffer Bellows, not his dad. Terrible analysis.

due a big extension, coming off a horrendous year. his value is not this, not even close

hes a rental, and his value is very low. so you're right, his value may not be two second rounders - that might be an overpayment

The Isle who are likely out of the playoffs aren't trading a top young prospect Bellows for a one year rental. Patches might be a Islander as UFA next summer.

Would take a lot more than just Bellows and a second to get Pacioretty. It would actually take a current NHL player as well. @krakowitz
