Devils aren't going to take this, D is a big issue for them and they invested a couple of picks in Mueller and plan on giving him a bigger role this year. Especially not eating all of that awful contract of Ryan. Salary needs to be retained.

If NJ was willing to take Ryan on for that price, a deal would of been done already.

I know he is hometown kid and all but that's a bad trade for NJ.

This will never happen. Number one because Vancouver didn't give up enough and they don't want to give up the five and Dahlen Gaudette they are still experimenting with their development and to valuable. Number two with the position that Vancouver is in right now the rebuild ,how does it make sense to bring in a generational talent now.You had the time to do it now is the worst time to do it. Elliotte Freidman (The Beard man) meant that they would be in a three way deal to take on the cap such as Ryan ect.
