I think Boeser might need another good year so that the Canucks have a better idea what they should pay him but yah I could see him getting that kind of money

It all hinges on this season. If he puts down another solid year with the same ppg and plays a full 82 you are looking at 7.5+. If he picks up (which is certainly the trend I see coming) you may be looking at 9-10m. As it stands right now he has a higher ppg than laine. If he puts up comparable numbers you will need to shell out.

There’s also the chance he sophomore slumps. This would be a good time to lock him down long term. If he’s looking for 9+ maybe you sign a bridge and make him prove he is elite.

Wingers don't just get thrown 9+ M. If Boeser were to somehow get 1.00+ PPG this season, i think he is looking at about 8M per. I think it is fair to assume he gets a 6 year deal worth between 6.5-7 per.

Not sure what your basing your 6.5-7m on. I get the idea it’s on him staying steady with his .89 ppg. That’s 38g 34a for 72p. Pastrnak with 70 would be a decent comparable but on an older contract. Pastrnak made roughly 9% of the cap which puts you at 7.4m at an 82m cap. That’s why I was thinking 7.5+ because I think the pastrnak signing was a great deal for Boston.

At a 1.00 ppg or more.... time to pony up. That will more than likely put him even or ahead of players like laine, Barzal and Rantanen. I don’t see how 9m+ is out of the picture but I assume Vancouver would like to do a short bridge and make him further prove himself.

Like I said before he could just as easily slump this season.... just going to have to wait and see.

I agree sophomore slump would be perfect time for king term as he could possibly come cheaper
