I'm getting old, and my memory may be going, but wasn't there some three-way trade a while ago where one team came out really badly? Some Canadian team? Some Canadian team in the East?

Horton's LTIR is meaningless starting next year. I doubt if Mr Melynk want to pay 10.6m out of pocket for a player not to play. Leafs certainly don't do the deal. McDonagh is nice but long term isn't needed at LHD. Wouldn't traded him for Nylander straight up and Zaitsev is needed. Gourde is nice but it's crowded forward group for the Leafs this year.
