Description

While I love this team and have full confidence that we can push to win the Pacific and challenge for the playoffs, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. In a mercurial Pacific division with teams half-contending and half-rebuilding anything can happen. The Sharks are likely to contend with us, the Flames, the Ducks, and Kings for the playoff spots. I think we could definately make some moves to improve the team, but not make massive franchise-altering trades like ones for EK65, etc. In adding Dzingel, Faulk and Rask we get great improvements and depth on offense and defense. I really like that Top9 and Tatar is expendable if he performs poorly at the TDL for someone like Anders Lee. We are pretty locked up at center, but I kept Eakin because of his defensive qualities that would be great for a depth forward and Incase of injuries. On defense we look good, and Merrill should be able to fill-in for Schmidt till he gets back from suspension. Feedback always appreciated, Thanks!

The idea of acquiring Dzingel at a reasonable price is an excellent one. Ls Vegas certainly needs another RW. I still can't understand why Alex Chiasson remains unsigned. I personally don't like Faulk and his minus 26 last year, but people tell me he's great on the power play, so, okay, I'll go along with that. I'd rather have a winger prospect than yet another center, though (remember that Glass and Suzuki are centers, too.)
