Also I brought this idea forward weeks ago with another avs fan.. the answer is yes we would do it, but the edm fans over value draisaitl and undervalue their need for RD

1. Draisaitl is a legit talent
2. Everyone else overvalues Edmonton's need at RD: they undervalue Larsson and Benning and ignore the fact that Edmonton has 3-4 RD prospects who will be NHL-ready within 12 months

I think the Avs would pass. It's an overvaluation of Draisaitl.

Or to put it another way it's an undervaluation of Barrie & Kerfoot.

Barrie is a legit talent, but Colorado's defense is the best on paper as it's been in years with 2 legit RD prospects expected to step in next year and 1 possibly this year,

Draisaitl is a legit talent but expensive and in a position that edm has an abundance of, 27 million tied up in 3 centreman, with possibly the worst defense they've had in years

This trade helps out both teams equally, avs have cap space, edm doesnt, avs need a legit 2nd line centre, edm needs a legit dman, both teams are competing or trying to win now

Am I missing something?? This mock is basically Draisaitl + Benson for Nylander + Kerfoot + a 5th round pick, from Edmonton's perspective. None of those guys are "legit dmen".

Well if you quote someone's post, read the whole post, I was talking about strictly the avs and edm trade (that is very similar to the one I posted weeks ago) leaving out the toronto trade all together... also the title of the AGM is would colorado do this not would colorado and toronto do this, once they have barrie I dont care what they use him for
