I kind of like this trade.

The only thing bugging me with the perspective of Hawks dealing away their 1. round pick. But hey, otherwise they aren't going to get Stone.

This would in my eyes bring the Hawks closer to a "quick-rebuild", but at the same time making their rebuild longer.

Also, moving DeBrincat would be a shame. The guy is going to be lit!

Lets hypothetically say something like this occurs. You HAVE to send back Murphy or AA. They don't have the cap once both Crawford and Murphy get healthy.

I also don't see Bowman trading away Debrincat. Stone is a better player than Debrincat right now. I'm not trying to debate that, but it's closer than many people think. Even if you extrapolate Stone's 52 games into 82 games...they would have the same exact number of goals. Again, Stone is the better player right now, but for $7.5M less....HUGE HUGE issue to resolve without Cap going back.

Or we can just wait until Stone reached UFA next summer instead of giving up a potential 30 goal per year young scorer....
