This is not too bad actually, was expecting a ton worse. Mostly small things, and only being off by a touch.
In case you care, I think the small things would be:
Johnsson and Kappy *might* go higher if they play well, but I figure 2 is about their average, I think it will be closer to a 3 year deal as long as they get 2 or more, 2 years if they get less.
I doubt Sandin will be ready, and Rosen or Borg or someone cheap can fill in a year until he is ready, so no need to rush him.
I think Sparks is a bit high, think about 800k.
And I think Marner is a touch high on an 8 year deal, however that is not out of the question if he hits 90+ points. I think on an 8 year deal we could go as low as 8, with a partial NMC/NTC as soon as he can get it, but I'd be willing to bet the most likely deal will come with him being at 7.5 over 6 years, instead of 8, in order to get past the squeeze.
But as I said, minor quibbles. Good job.
Also, the D is not as bad as people think. We were the 11th best d on the pk and 12 best even last year, and this core had an off year, and is young. They are improving fast and will surprise everyone. Zaitzev looks like he is rebounding based on his pre season play, oz looks like a Polak that can actually play hockey, Rielly is Rielly, Gards is better than the negative press around him, Dermott is developing nicely, but hainsey is slowing down. Hopefully Rosen or Holl or someone can rotate with him. No more than 60 games max, including post season. Once you add lily and Sandin, and the core develops, this d core is a young fast d that will be good. Idk 10th to 5th best in the league? Not Nashville or San Jose, but a step down from that.
