Dubas won't make a desperation move. The best trade offers have already passed.

He'll be waiting until another team gets desperate, or when a team is ready take a leap at the trade deadline or draft.

Unless a proven NHL roster D becomes available, he might just wait until after Matthews and Marner are extended. There's no reason to rush, he's already taken the loss
