They wanted to offer an extra year. A good GM wouldn't sign a slow old winger to play with the leagues fastest player..

Interesting how you reversed all of Chias questionable moves but left all his good ones intact. Also the Oilers were considering trading up for Pulju because of how good he looked/will be. So no they shouldn't/wouldn't have drafted Tkuchuk

Lucic’s First year with EDM was pretty much a typical year for him. Then he had a bad year; oilers should wait to se ego he turns it around. While The Hall-Larsson swap was horrible and the strome-eberle trade was not a great idea, Puljujarvi looked better than Tkachuk did predraft (though Tkachuk is the legit NHLer between the two right now). However, you do have Talbot, who is an Oiler because of Chiarelli.

You should also reverse the Giffen Reinhart trade and the Justin Shultz trade.

They only good move he made was tradeing for Cam Talbot.

I couldn't be more right. Please enlighten me about these so called brilliant Chia moves. Overpaying plugs like Lucic and Sekera? Signing Drake "Stone Hands" Cagguila? Trading away picks for Griffen Reinhart? Trading for Adam "the pylon" Larsson? Winning the Connor Mcdavid draft lottery? Do all of these count as brilliant Chia moves. If so man you are so delusional.

    1. Claiming Davy off waivers and flipping him for a 3rd
    2. Getting Maroon for next to nothing
    3. Trading a goalie who went straight to Europe for Kassian
    4. Look at Edmontons draft history since he and Keith took over
    5. Talbot
    6. Got a good stay at hime defender(something the team needed) while subsequently getting rid of a locker room cancer

There are more, but these are just the ones I could think of instantly. So dont come at me with that **** unless you got more then just stating "the usual three"

    1. Totally relevant and makes up for his other gaffs
    2. Traded a fourth for maroon and got a third in return. Very nice he deserves a medal.
    3. Traded for a player who could easily be put on waivers on a good team. Wow this is totally brilliant.
    4. 2016 Drafted Pullujarvi. He took the best player available. This doesn't take a whole lot of thought.
2017 Drafted Yamamoto The Jury is still out on this move.
2018 Drafted Bouchard. He had a choice between Dobson, Wahlstrom and Bouchard. This was also a no brainer. He was getting a good player either way.
    5. Talbot. I already said this was his only relevant move.
    6. Taylor Hall was a locker room cancer? Wow this is probably the most ignorant thing I have heard today.

I recommend actually allocating brain cells to some of these moves and actually seeing how relevant they actually are instead of posting a boat load of nonsense.

Ok. If you look past the 1st round picks and see who hes draft in later rounds you'll get it. He got a player who would win WHL defenceman of the year in the 5th round, he got one of the top goalies in thr CHL last year in the 4th round. He got one of the OHL's top snipers in the 5th round. So yeah I'd say Chia is good at drafting.

As far as Hall goes, he was a dick to everybody in the city and often had to be escorted out of clubs. He would also yell at childern who asked for autographs in public. You clearly arent aware of this though so I forgive you.

Instead of shitting on me/the oilers for no reason other then being a troll maybe go help your mom make dinner or something

It is very difficult to judge a prospect before he reaches the NHL. There are a lot of prospects that look really good in Junior but don't end up translating well into the NHL. That's why you can't really look at a GMs draft history and say he did a good job until at least 4 years after a draft.
