The deal is supposed to 5.8-6.3m and I doubt we signed him just to trade him away.

only guy I can see who is giving numbers is Kypreos

Hearing @Leafs and Nylander continue strong dialogue for potential resolution. To my knowledge no pending deal as of yet but talk of possible 6 yr term being discussed. Allows Leafs to lock in 1st UFA yr while raising his AAV. Speculation on my part but thinking 6.5-7m per

The source is this 5.8m-6.3m is this Dean Blundell guy....I dunno that doesn't sound too concrete yet, sounds like a nobody if he was reporting it and not one media outlet or insider would have picked up on it.

Probably not close yet and I would be shocked it if was in that range

Kypreos is an idiot... he just makes **** up and says I’ve been hearing blah blah blah... more popular insiders won’t leak anything till they are sure it’s signed.

Blundell is a radio host, was with sportsnet for a few years. Don’t see him just making this up.

Looks like there are a few different numbers coming from different places. He also did not skate with the Austrian team so... i’m Not sure on the contract but it certainly looks like it will be announced soon.

This seems to hurt Calgary. Have a few key RFAs to sign the following year

Brodie might make more sense compared to Hamonic to trade away. He has a higher perceived value, a more hefty contract, etc. Leaves more money to re-sign Tkachuk

Fair enough, I was trying to pick between him and Hamonic. Felt the Leafs might want someone more defensively reliable than Brodie which is why I threw Hamonic in instead, but I could see either or.
