The Leafs say no. Kadri is on one of the best contracts in the league whereas Demers is one of the worst. Why people under-value Kadri is beyond me...

LOL ehat? Kadri alone should get that package and then Arizona gets a good young winger and a pick on top of that

That is a terrible deal for the Leafs. Just because Fisher gets himself a hat-trick, does not mean he is suddenly a top-6 player. Kadri has scored 30 goals in back to back season and is playing on a great deal. He by himself should be able to net 3 pieces if the Leafs decided to sell him for futures, so that would be a 1st rounder, NHL roster player and a great prospect.

Toronto says no. Kadri is good enough to be a 2C on a playoff team but has a great salary to be a 3C on a contender. He is extremely valuable.

And he will be 2C next year when Mathews get offersheeted rock on

You really think Kadri will repeat last year ever again? Do you also think there is any chance the Leafs can resign him down the road?

No one is saying Fischer is a top six player, but he certainly has upside to become that. Kadri’s production is also likely going to dip with the Leafs as he will no longer be playing with high end winger like Marner, Marleau, etc.

Well he’s already done it twice in a row.... Kadri is a great player on a great contract.

Who we won’t be able to keep and won’t produce as much playing with Lindholm and Brown.

And why won’t we keep someone on such a good contract?

Kadri will hit FA around the time of Freddy and Reilly, by then our cap hell will be pretty bad. Highly doubt we’d be able to afford him.

Let's worry about the Nylander contract before we get to Kadri/ Rielly and Andersen contacts in 3/4 yrs.

yeah but it was fun messing with everyone. Plus in all honesty I don't think Hainsey would be part of any kind of deal like that.

You’re worried about dumping Kadri this year because he will hit ufa in 4 years? Wtf is wrong with people...
