Sens aren't retaining on Boedker, and Oilers don't need another LHD, unless they can trade one they've got for a decent goal scoring wing. They might just take on Zaitsev for Pulju+Kassian, if the Leafs add a couple 2nd picks, though.

Chabot is deadly, I'd actually have to really think hard if Ottawa offered me Chabot + for Nylander. It wouldn't take much beyond Chabot in my opinion, I really think he'll be one of the better Dmen in the near future.

I watch the sens and I like chabot but he really isn’t what we are looking for. He’s got a bright future but we do not need an offensive lhd. For the price we are paying... I think sens seriously consider this. A competent replacement a B+ prospect a first in 2019 a second the year after and nylander, that’s a huge over pay.

A 60 pts winger (potentially more if he plays with Matthews) is a lot more common to find in the NHL than a top 2 Defensemen or top line Centre.

Don't get me wrong, Nylander's a great player! But, OTT would never trade Chabot for him regardless of the package. Chances that any bottom 1st-2nd round round draft picks amount to anything are really low, B+ prospect usually end up being 5-6D or bottom 6 FWD and OTT doesnt really need Nylander right now (as the Leafs don't really need Chabot right cuz of Reilly).

So I guess both teams would say no!

Chabot is the highest scoring defenceman in the NHL and is way better with points than Erik Karlsson
Chabot is young still
Ottawa is bad and Chabot can do that with points
