I actually think it would be amazing if they traded Crosby right now. He's still really good but for how long? Get really high value and reset the franchise with a haul of awesome young players.

Thats what Id like to see too. Like any player with age, there will be a season that comes around were crosby plays like garbage, and then he will be worth half as much.

I look at LA and see just a train wreck. They are terrible so far this season, and they are also really slow and old. That's what seems to happen when you are successful and try to keep the good old days going. I'd love to see a team win big, and when their core hits 30, just trade them all. They'll get absolutely blasted but could go from being a declining contender to an up and coming team in a moment. It would really interesting to see.

Perhaps you're forgetting that Crosby would have to waive his NMC and I highly, highly, highly doubt he would ever consider that if it meant getting traded to Carolina. Of course, no offense to Canes fans. You might have better luck going after Jonny Toews
