I'm a Canucks fan, and my prespective is that this is a fair trade. I don't know if the Pens have the cap space to do this, but the value in terms of players for players looks decent.

Thanks a lot! I think by moving out Maatta and Hornqvist, they would have enough for Nylander.

Fair trade coming from a Canucks fan. What Tavev, three firsts and Nylander now. What do you guys smoke in Vancouver?

Everything was great till that trade happened... leafs are way better before it.

I like Hornquist but don't know if acquiring 32 year Horni and Maatta for total of 9.4m is better than a 7m Nylander and 2.4m in extra cap. But it's a good thought that the Leafs would be getting two NHLers for one.

Matta isn’t needed, our left side is good Reilly dermott Rosen and Borgman with sandin waiting to burst in. Hornquist is just to old to be of value.

Reilly and Dermott are good LHD, and Sandin will hop in, but Maatta can still be of help. He has played on the right before as well. I think he can use a fresh start, and is still young enough to improve. Hornqvist is 31, but still adds a lot. I mean, Marleau is 39 and signed at the age of 38 but still helps a lot. Hornqvist way of playing is very rare and sought after in the league. I still think he is useful and would put up a good amount of points. Just my opinion.

Rosen and Borgman will be on the bottom pair, plenty of other options for the bottom pair if liljegren isn’t ready to go. Dermott also plays the right and ozhiganov player the left with zaitsev in khl. Like I said no use for matta... i’ve Heard the cries to get rid of him all the way from Pittsburgh. Nylander is more valuable to our team than another bottom pairing Dman and a declining hornqvist. Just a bad trade.
