Description
I'm seeing alot of Tarasenko trades on here but haven't heard the news. Are the blues actively shopping him? or is this a CapFriendly brain fart like when Holtby was going to be traded last year?

Elliotte Friedman mentioned Blues potentially making a core change and possible disappointment in Tarasenko on his 31 Thoughts blog

Friedman's 31 Thoughts mentioned Tarasenko because Armstrong said that the core players on the Blues have lost their equity and are on thin ice... but he also said he hasnt ever heard a rumor or anything about tarasenko being available, so it's pure speculation. IMO the Blues need a shakeup but wont get fair value for Petro or Tarasenko so trading them scares me. The rest of the guys that have been around for a couple yrs (Schwartz, Schenn, Steen, Barbs, Edmundson, maybe even Parayko) should consider themselves warned.

I think Schwartz is safe. Team fell apart without him last year so it doesn't appear he's the problem, and I wpuld even say Edmundson is pretty safe. Steen should have been on thin ice when Hitch was still here. Barbashev hasnt gotten enough playing time to be a true factor.
I wish the Blues wouldn't get rid of Schenn, but it doesn't seem like he gets along with Tarasenko at all. I think that's been a problem.

Havent listened to the latest Podcast lol, I should get on that. It seems irrational and desperate if the blues trade Tarasenko imo. Weird seeing you say that as well when Schwartz-Schenn-Tarasneko was the line carrying them last year

Schwartz should be safe. We’re 0-4-1 and have scored 6 goals without him this year. It’s not like it’s his fault he gets injured either. Dude just has the uncanny ability to just constantly get hit with pucks in the wrong place.

You can just read his blog. It's easier than listening to the podcast. Yeah, that line did carry the team. At end of the season though Schenn mentioned (allegedly)how Tarasenko doesn't stay within the system so it's difficult to play with him. With the assigning of Berube, Schenn also mentioned how Berube will actually make all players accountable and just a few. I sort of interpret that as Tarasenko even though he's played very well

*Don Cherry voice* KIDS LOOK AT HIM. LOOK AT THIS GUY, BLOCKING SHOTS AND DOING THINGS

Really tho I agree. I honestly think its goaltending that has to change first. Man Jake Allen has been such a let down

I think that the culture is bad too. I would way rather trade Pietrangelo than Tarasenko.

Well just like Armstrong said with Allen "The front of our net is like a 7-eleven always open 24/7 and I am looking to change that around" Also Friedman isn't a credible source imo Rutherford is more credible to me at this point.

He was just speculating, but he obviously heard something if he talked about it on 31 thoughts
