This team looks god awful. Phi trade is just an absolute no from hawks side. You trade toews and Crawford, retain on toews, take in a ton in cap dump and you get Morgan frost and a 2nd to show for it.
ChiHawk liked this.

Forgetting NTC/NMC, you managed to make this team worse. Can't address all of this but a couple of standout horrible moves you made;

Perlini for $2.25M has got to be a joke!
You literally just paid Carolina to take on a camp dump (Darling) and a guy who will likely never see the NHL.
The Philly trade is just horrendous
You should familiarize yourself with the Hawks prospect system, I bet if you did you would realize how bad some of these moves are.

Save yourself some face and delete this team...sorry but it's that bad.

I'm perplexed by the Gagner trade. If the Blackhawks or any other team wanted him at all I believe he went through waivers earlier this season and that's how he's in the AHL. Not sure why Vancouver wants Lucic, but I'm sure Edmonton would love to get rid of his contract.
6.5M of retained dead salary is a lot for a team, unless they're going to go for a 4 year rebuild.
Trading Toews and Crawford is foolish. The Blues have been searching for a goalie as good as Crow for how many years now, and the Blackhawks should package him with Toews while retaining salary? I get Frost is highly regarded, and Lindblom is too. I don't love it for the Blackhawks, but for the Flyers are they in a win now mode? If they aren't I don't see how/why their next GM pulls the trigger.
I get the thought of blowing up the team, getting prospects and emerging a contender in 2-3 years. Except the other GMs are going to do the Blackhawks any favors, not all top prospect 19 year centers become Toews, and Stan had better have packed his office by the time he hangs up the phone after 2 of these trades.
If I'm Stan and want to have any hope of keeping my job, I'm staying the course, hope 1 or 2 of my top D prospects are top pair D next season, get lucky in the lottery and then sign a FA forward. That's probably the pitch he made to McDonough & Rocky when they decided not to fire him at the same time as Q.

Thank you for having a well thought out response, and not just `this is dumb`.
