Description

Kerfoot, Kamenev and Ghetto seem to be in Bednar's doghouse currently and CAR is supposedly looking for more forwards. Among them a Top-6, which I consider Kerfoot is.

So... let's take the opportunity to rejuvenate the club a little more by trading for 2 skilled prospects, big bodies with speed and right-handed shot. Let's give Necas and Roy a real shot at the NHL right now as well as AJ Greer.

Making this trade allow the Avs to settle the file of 3 future RFA in addition to creating space for Mikko's future big contract. And they can go for a big fish on July 1st as well.

it's not too complicated. These 3 players have more talent than somes playing in the Canes lineup currently. You currently have Martinook on your 1st line and Wallmark as 2nd centre. These are guys I like but not on the Top-6. Kerfoot would be ideal as 2nd center. Put Svechnikov on the first line with Aho and Teravainen. Andrighetto - Kerfoot - Williams become the new 2nd line. You can put Kamenev anywhere on the 3rd or 4th line without worry because he's an upgrade from Di Giuseppe, Bishop, Maenalaen, Martinook.

I think it's fair like that. But IF adding a choice is the only thing missing to seal the deal, I agree to add a 3rd rounder, no more.

COL is tied for 1st in the central. now is not the time to trade away 3 roster players for 2 prospects.

Necas is similar to Kaut, but Necas is better (and half a year older)
Roy is similar to Kamenev, but Kamenev is better (and half a year older)

COL doesnt need either of those players coming back as they already have similar ones in their system

why would COL give up NHLers for prospects they dont even need?

Not sure I'd trade Kerfoot and don't agree with your take on him being in Bednar's doghouse. At least not in this kind of deal. I don't see how it improves the team all that much.
