I agree with you on this one. This helps in ZERO ways.. Kings would ask for upgrade on D and middle-6 forward for Quick..

Maybe they see a big fat contract dump? Which I concur..... Quick isn't a contract dump.

Quick for Smith, Bennett and a young D (which the Flames are a flush) would make a helluva lot more sense..... and your only including Smith due to the contracts.

What's the thinking for Frolik in Calgary? Does the team want to dump his salary?

With Quick out of the way next year leaves Campbell and Petersen to fight over the net in LA while Parsons and Villalta push each other in Ontario; and Ruzicka will be that middle 6 winger by the end of his entry level contract which he will be signing at the end of his season in Sarnia

No assurement with Ruzicka. I think They would sign someone to be in net. with Campbell and Petersen fighting for backup role. Im thinking Brodie, Ruzicka and 1st. He is worth 1st and top-4 D man and prospect still. He is great G.

I like this idea. I’m not a Flames fan necessarily, but I enjoy watching them. My concern is that James Neal hasn’t been going the way the Flames wanted, and Bennett has picked up some of that production this year. It may be tough to remove him from this lineup and expect the same chemistry and results. They would also need to be careful about whichever D they move out, given the chemistry issues they had last season, and the fact that they need a replacement plan for Giordano as he ages over the next several seasons.

Not disagreeing at all. But..... you gotta pay to play.

Could suggest Jankowski, but I think there is a lot more there than in Bennett at this point.

100% agree you have to pay to play. Bennett is the logical ask too.
