I'd take TvR anyday over some of the trade proposals involving the 'Canes other RHDmen (Hamilton{cringe}, Faulk{Ott's Justin Falk is just as good), Pesce {I like him but not at the cost of Kappy and Lily}) for the Leafs. Cheap is the golden word when it comes to the Leafs future of paying 5 guys over half your salary cap.

TVR is a bottom end dman but he is still an NHLer and will return more in a trade especially since he is much needed RHD position.

The general consensus (I did a survey on a forum and everything) was either a 3rd rounder and a low prospect/pick, or a second rounder. I'd prefer the prior, so I chose it here. This is a very possible trade idea, but it will definitely take the second rounder instead if Carolina manages to move one of the other RHD first. As of right now they have an excess of talent there, so I'd say this deal works.

We traded a 2nd round pick to bring TvR to Carolina, so we will want more for him.
Also, he is on an affordable contract and is a decent defenseman.
Out of all of our RHD, he won't be the one traded.
