Description

I expect Patrick Maroon to be traded or be put on waivers today. The reason being is he’s chasing a big contract and it’s not really working out in St Louis at all. He probably requested a move a month or two ago but we couldn’t get rid of him because he had a bobble head of him planned. The bobble head night was last night so that’s why I believe he’s gone. Also to note: when he first signed there was talk of an extension happening in January, I bet the blues planned the bobble head night to be right after they announced his extension but decided to go a different direction.

He is not chasing a big contract, the Devils offered him considerably more this past offseason to stay. He wanted St Louis to be near his kid. While it is not working, he is also not chasing a big contract. For him it was location location location.

He had a big production video about his decision to come to St Louis. He talked about how he hoped he would get a big contract this offseason(3x4 or 4x3). He was surprised when no one offered anything. He talked about how the Yotes and Blues were the only teams that offered stuff and ultimately decided he would sign a one year to bet on himself to get a new contract. I feel bad for the guy, but I might just break my t.v. if I have to watch him on a line with Thomas any longer. He is probably the worst skater in the league and doesn’t have the iq or skill to make up for it.

Yeah it kinda sucks, hes just too old to keep up with the new young 20 year olds who skate a mile a minute. It looks like hes gonna be going year by year to different teams for the next couple years but i hope he lands back in St Louis as some kind of advisor role.

Maroon has a NTC that changes to a modified NTC (lists 8 team no-trade list) on Feb 1st. Not saying he wouldn't waive it, but it might be more likely that he's moved after the Blues get his list.

Where did you hear that? There's like 2 credible sources that cover the team and they haven't said that.
