Anaheim mess

Created by: Username_Bot
Team: 2018-19 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 17, 2019
Published: Jan. 18, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
btw, the trade was to add depth scoring, Cehlarik looks to be our top 6 guy. He looks amazing, also according to Leach, a hard worker. And according to him again, Cehlarik starts practice from 5 in the morning until 8, pretty impressive. btw, I know I misspelled anaheim but who cares. Silfverberg will come in for Backes after finish dealing with injuries
Trades
BOS
  1. Silfverberg, Jakob ($1,250,000 retained)
  2. 2019 5th round pick (ANA)
ANA
  1. Heinen, Danton
  2. Senyshyn, Zach
  3. 2019 2nd round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
I do not know what the Ducks are doing but it seems pretty crazy. Del zotto for Luke Schenn and a 7th and 2 AHL trade. Might as well take advantage of this mess in anaheim. Silfverberg is a pending UFA and probably won't sign in anahiem, especially with their performance. As we all know how much of a Heinen hater I am (I have no idea why I always want to clear him), I am trading him here. I Silfverberg is having quite a bad year and a change of scenario from a bad to good team could change that production, and before we are certain he is capable reaching his old 40-50 point numbers, and he isn't worth as much anyways. Seny is worth a 4th and a 2nd with Heinen should push it over. 5th round pick is there because, why not? its not worth much and I feel like overpaying for Silfverberg already. Hes pretty inconsistent as well... so...

Do remember Heinen is on pace for less than 25 points this year...

I like how smart he plays and how defensively aware he has been. His strengths are Danotos weaknesses.

Do remember he was a 47 point rookie, silfs career high is 49, that is still on his ELC that has been pushed all over the lineup this year while Silf is a mediocre wing on his last year of his contract. Heinen and a 4th would be enough.

Fun fact: Even after a 12 game losing streak, the "mess" of a team in So-Cal sits tied for the second wildcard spot. Not ideal, but I think I like their chances in a group of Dallas, Minny, Edmonton and Vancouver, especially now that guys like Lindholm and Fowler are getting healthy. Interestingly, I remember everyone going crazy when Buffalo had their 10 game winning streak earlier this season. Their point difference right now? 5.

Sorry. A bit rant-y.

End of the day, I don't see any reason why Silfverberg wouldn't resign in Anaheim. They're consistently good, it's a great place to live, and it's not a media hot-spot. Trade value-wise? @gofnutt999 is probably close with the Heinen+4th, or 3rd. You probably don't need to give up a 2nd, but I'm sure they'd take it if you were offering.

agreed, great Defensive player, but we need more offense than Defense in our top 9 core. Also, we do have JFK on that line

eh... than they don't need to take 3 trades in less than a week. I don't understand hows things going in anaheim but if I was a player there, I would be ready to ask out, especially after a 12 game losing streak just because I am injured and some others. The Bruins were still winning with 5 Dman out and Bergy out. Yeah. I agree with the value from Gofnut. Well, sure, and in the end of the day, hes the guy that brings you offense

I mean, 2 of those 3 trades were straight up minor-league trades. It's not like they shipped out anyone major. The Del Zotto one was a AHL-er in Schenn, and a 7th rounder for a guy that fills a hole on the 3rd pairing. The thing about demanding a trade when you're on a losing streak is that it very quickly shows everyone around the league that you're an extremely immature player. I don't want a guy in the locker room that wants to pack it in just because we've had a few bad weeks in a row. I want the guy who jumps up and says "I'm going to sacrifice everything to get us back in the win column.

I think at his peak he could be a Loui Eriksson type and give you 20-25G / 35-45A. He's a very smart player, but a little timid for how the Bruins like to play.

I'd think even the 4th is to much, but there isn't much value in a 4th anyways lol. I think Silfverberg was very hyped up coming in the trade for Bobby Ryan and he never became the player people thought he would. If Heinen could look into the future, his career probably looks a lot like Silfverberg's.

Agreed, i think straight up is fair value, 4th was just incentive, but i don’t think it would be needed.

Call my crazy, but the guy in ANH that I'd look at it is Nick Ritchie. Big LW, plays a heavy game and have found his offense this year. Just signed a new deal and carries a $1.5 cap hit (rounding up) the next two seasons.
