All these trades are way too unrealistic to even consider. Dzingel will get close to 6 million at this point. Stone 10 million. Saad doesn't snag Lindholm either.

I guess you have cap room for maybe a Bobrovsky. Not sure if Crawford is coming back ever.

6M!!!!?? He's good but he has nothing to base that on. Yet, at least. Frankly even if he hits 30 goals this year. He won't get 6M.

If Milan Lucic and Loui Eriksson can get 6 million, anything is possible.

If Dzingel gets 6 million good for him! I agree that 3.25 is low, but 6 million is definitely too high. 10 million for Stone also seems a little high, seems like 8.5 is about right. As for the trade you're right Saad doesn't snag Lindholm, but there is way more to the trade than that. Perlini, Murphy, and a 2nd rounder make that trade much more realistic.

Stone is averaging over a point per game on a really bad team. While Dzingel could very well hit 30 goals. UFA market is where all bad contracts are made.

I know what you mean but that is like saying Hall was traded for Larsson so anything is possible now......... Lucic and Eriksson earned their contracts from their previous seasons. Dzingel hasn't done a damn thing yet. He still has to score those 30 goals this year. He hasn't done it yet and even if he did, that wouldn't land him 6M a year. Barring the one crazy GM like Chiarelli trying to save his life but seeing as his hands are tied, there won't be any other GM's dumb enough to do it. I think the Lucic, Ladd, Okposo and Eriksson signings made GM's have to think a little harder about spending that much money on wingers also.

Even then, lesser value players like Roussel and Shaw have signed way overpriced contracts. If anyone thinks Dzingel makes similar to Shaw's 3.9 is crazy.

Well Shaw wasn't a free agent when he was signed so not sure what that has to with anything. Should Kovalchuk be making more than Brad Marchand. No of course not, but that is besides the point.

Dzingel needs to be able to sell his 6M value on his own merit and as is he cannot do. Aside from looking at the Lucic and Eriksson albatross contracts, who else can he realistically compare to at that range? No one. His closest match would be Saad, I guess but even Saad's value was increased due the cup he just won with the Hawks and was only 21-22 at the time. Dzingel will be half way through his 27th year old when he becomes a free agent and is just now starting to show what he is capable of.

Regardless, it doesn't really matter what we think. If he gets it, he gets it. Who ever pays him that much is overpaying. IMO.
