I have Frederic and Backes together. This must mean Nordstrom is close.

Is this a showcase or legit promotion/demotion?

*Winnipeg. frown

And would you do a say Connor and Trouba for McAvoy and Heinen. (2nd if trouba signs long term)

How good is McAvoy and how about Heinen. Am I overvaluing them. Would it be more fair if the conditional 2nd was a 1st.

I don't know McAvoy too well but I believe he is better than Trouba. while connor is much better than Heinen

Would you still do it if it was McAvoy + 3rd for Trouba (with extension) and Perreault (better than his primary stats say)

It's a legit promotion for Frederic, not a showcase. Frederic has been solid for most of the season in the AHL and probably would have better numbers if not for an injury.

McAvoy is very good and is only going to get better. He could be Doughty or he could never reach that, but he will/is a top pairing guy. Needs to shoot more.
Heinen is a good hockey player. Smart, two-way guy. I think his numbers last year are more reflective of the player he is. I wouldn't say he is having a bad year, he just isn't showing up on the scoring sheet as much as I'd like. Ceiling is probably 25g/35a - floor is a solid 3rd line guy who can play up.

Timing is weird for JFK, No? I thought he turned a corner a bit. He was winning battles and making plays. Donato makes sense... is this about options and Nordstrom coming back? cause I think this leaves them with 22 man roster.

I don't think so. With Frederic getting a look at #3C, JFK had no where to go. I guess they could have slid him to RW, but it makes more sense to send him back down to PRO and get significantly more TOI. I'm higher on JFK than most and I don't think its a problem. If Frederic doesn't produce, I'm sure JFK gets another look. Not sure if JFK going down is more about his performance or how good Frederic has been down in the AHL and it being a numbers game.

I don't know about that. I would perceive McAvoy to have more value

I watch him every game. I rarely miss jets games. I am a jets fan. I know he is good but I think McAvoy is slightly better (I haven't seen him play too much but from advanced stats we can tell he is already as good as trouba, if not better).

Look at Connor's stint on the 2nd line. He went into a slump. He is not a play driver like McAvoy is at his age. He is only a complementary player right now. Still firs line talent, but not a driver like McAvoy

I'm sad to see Donato get sent down. Really want to see him to do well in the NHL.
