Honestly I almost hope he's suspended so Boston can't play him even if they want to...

Nick Ritchie laid a late, dirty hit on Yanni Gourde. TB scores on the ensuing 5-minute major.

That's two dumb penalties leading to goals in the past two games. He may end up single handedly costing us the series.

Since they’ve accounted for 2 of the three goals the bruins have scored so far, I guess I’d prefer to keep them together for now.

I’d keep Nordstrom in there. The 4th line has been pretty good

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KennyBoi</b></div><div>I think they should re-arrange the pp lines. Have ritchie swap with debrusk net front on pp1. Then pp2 looks like
debrusk (net front) - coyle (bumper) - krech (right top of circle)
kase (left top of circle) - griz (qb)</div></div>
Eh our PP is 2nd in the league, I don't think we should change the 1st unit around unless their production falls off a cliff.
PP2 is an interesting question though. I'd be inclined to keep Krejci on his off-wing as he has a blistering one-timer when he chooses to use it.

I could be wrong but I've never seen Kuhlman play center for the B's. I'd say Wagner is the better option over Kuhlman but I can't recall if I've seen him play C either. Kuraly does always seem to play better on the wing though.

Fair enough. Last night was definitely a positive with regards to bottom 9 scoring

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bsilk18</b></div><div>Well its broken, so we have to fix it lol
The first line is the only line producing aside from the occasional PP goal from Heinen or a 5on5 goal from Ritchie (2), they have nothing from the 2nd or 3rd line, I think the 4th liners might be more productive</div></div>
Well we've won 3 in a row with this lineup with goals from Ritchie, Lindholm, Bjork, and Coyle so I would disagree.
Either way, it looks like Krejci is back tonight so it's irrelevant now :)

If McAvoy situation goes south and I mean really south
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MisstheWhalers</b></div><div>Yes I watched much of it but getting RNH, Nurse, Jp and Larsson would improve your depth so much.
I really don't think Bruins fans realize how much they need another top 6 forward and sorry but Coyle just doesn't get it done. RNH with Krejci and Debrusk would be a solid line. Plus the overpay trade is the Oilers taking Miller who has little to no value and you Bruins fans overrate Grzelcyk a bit. I agree the original trade as proposed isn't good for the Bruins but if the Oilers added RNH and a 1st you'd be absolutely delusional to not think that's a great trade for the Bruins, your window to win cups is now and getting RNH helps with that big time!</div></div>
I think context is important to consider here. While RNH, Nurse, Larsson, JP, 1st is probably more pure value than McAvoy, McAvoy is so important to Boston’s success now and in the future as a legit #1 RHD that it would take a drastic overpayment to acquire him.
Additionally, while I would love RNH, Boston really needs a RW, not another lefty. So even with an overpayment this trade still doesn’t fill Boston’s most important need. (Unless RNH can play RW?)

Keep Carlo oh yea Checkdis
I wouldn’t even trade McAvoy for Marner straight up as McAvoy fills a much bigger need for the team right now.
Not sure why Boston would trade their #2 center in Krejci for 2 more LD when the team is already several players deep at that position.
I don’t think these trades help the Bruins at all, except for the Backes trade which I actually wouldn’t mind.

Are you saying that if Backes and Turris were removed, Boston would have to add even more?
I get that Arvidsson is a great player on a great contract, but that still seems like the Bruins are giving up a lot.

Cheaper Options
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>l19f9</b></div><div>To counterpoint.
Carter - you are not taking into account him being on a better team and possibly on RW on the Bergeron, Marchand line. He is still can be a prolific goal scorer.
Krug - Leading scorer who is still a -5, that can't be ignored, if you score a 100 goals and are -100 you aren't really contributing quality defensive play. He has value because of his points, that's why we should trade him now.
Toffoli - Way better than Heinen, Heinen will never be any better than a 3rd liner, I've been saying this for over a year now. Toffoli would look great on our 2nd line.
Carter's Contract - Valid but I see getting rid of Backes contract a better option because Carter can be amazing if on a good team.</div></div>
If Carter plays RW on the first line, the problem then becomes that Toffoli will be bumped to the third line, in which case I'd rather have Heinen because he'll most likely be cheaper next year. If not, then the team is paying 5 million for a third line center, which is probably too much and doesn't solve the Backes problem. I think either Carter or Toffoli could be a good addition to the team, but not both.

BackesRask Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tadhockey</b></div><div>
I made the assumption here Zdeno Chara retires. If that happens and the Bruins have the cap space, I think they would be well served to get Karlsson. That being said, I also considered Panarin/Stone in the discussion also.</div></div>
Even is Chara retires, signing Karlsson still doesn't make sense. The Bruins already have a wealth of defensemen to take his spot (Grizz/Moore, Vaak, Lauzon) and he is a LHD, while Karlsson is a RHD. 11m is also SUPER expensive, and that money would be better spent towards a player like Stone, who fills a need that the team actually has (a top 6 RW), while also being significantly cheaper.
