Where’s the offer sheet?

If other teams know the leafs are in hot water and have 7 days to find enough cap space to match an offer sheet, they aren't going to trade with them unless they're getting a hell of a deal.

There is no way Marner is getting 13 million. If a team offersheets him for that much, the leafs will let him leave and take the 4 first round picks. They could easily sign one of Panarin,Stone, or Karlsson with that money.

im saying he asking for Mathews money so why would he take 11.6 at 8. If Mathews got that at 5 and Marner camp see them as equals.

You can go tell Marner camp that. If he takes a bridge deal of three years and continues to produce yes he will make more than Mcdavid. I don't see this being an 8 year contract unless its crazy money. The leafs have realized there window is 5 years and then see what happens. I would go 3 or 6 so that Mathews and his contract don't come up again at the same time.
