Arizona's 2019 7th round pick is conditional. Detroit doesn't own it. And Glendening isn't getting moved for any thing less then a 2nd according to Holland.

So take the conditional pick out, add in a 2020 6th RD pick and you got a deal. Holland can try and play hard-ball all he wants. Brian Boyle’s deal doesn’t mean 4Cs everywhere are worth 2nd rounders. The Sharks are sending Melker Karlsson, who not only will slot into Detroit’s bottom 6 seamlessly, but will also be the perfect player to dangle at deadline next year with his cheap expiring contract. Taking that into account and Holland could turn Glendening into 3 picks by end of 2019-2020 season and open up cap 1 season earlier. Not to mention, Melker is totally the type of overlooked Swede who could very well find his rhythm in DET

But Detroit doesn't need another bottom 6 forward. Detroit is spending enough already on bottom 6 forwards. Plus Detroit has 3 players that will probably make the team a some point next season Zadina, Veleno and Svechnikov. Detroit really has no use for M.Karlsson now if SJ wants to take Helm or Abs then it may open a spot for M.Karlsson.

But it's Artemi ****ing Panarin...

As long as SJ re-signs Panarin, it's totally worth it.
