Why add a rental in Silverberg?

There not really a reason to. Sven is a great player who is a great top nine future player, Silver is not necessary. Guddy does need to go. BTW I’m so pumped that MacEwen was called up. He’s been amazing and deserves a roster spot. It would be cool to see him on the second line with Horvat, or as they top line center with Pettersson and Boeser.

Agree re Guddy & MacEwen. Not sure what Benning is going to do at the TDL. Sutter may be on his way out, but probably at the draft or off season.

Sven is good top nine forward but never put up more than 35 points and is injury prone. Adding Silfverberg is an attempt at seeing if he has good chemistry with Pettersson and Boeser. Most players will perform well along side Pettersson but if you can find that perfect chemistry fit then that top line becomes even more deadly. With young prospects like MacEwen and Dahlen we are gonna have to make room in our top nine at some point. Silfverberg contract ends this year and if it doesn't work out we just walk away making room for more youth.
