Don't like the first round pick but that's what it might come down too! Don't know why but I don't think Hayes would be a good fit in Boston because of the cap hit he's gonna want and because of what his brother went through playing here

Let’s not do another Hayes experiment, and certainly not for that price

Kevin is a lot better than Jimmy. Not to mention he can give you flexibility to play wing and center. If Bergeron gets hurt he can play center with DeBrusk while Krecji moves up to 1c. He's big and uses size to his advantage. It makes sense

Kevin is a lot better than the guy in the ahl, thanks for the tip. That family has too good of a time in Boston.
If Bergeron gets hurt, the seasons over, so who cares? He’s big? Thanks for the info.

No, it doesn’t make sense

He's also a good playmaker and is cheaper than other options. Gives the Bruins depth. Why doesn't it make sense? Because of his name? That's stupid and blindsided.

Let’s not. Waste of assets for rental.

I feel like blindsided isn’t the word you’re looking for. Cheap is two top prospects and a first? It’s a huge price to pay for a rental that doesn’t make sense for the team. A top six winger is what is needed. Not an insurance policy for Bergeron.

I'm not saying this particular trade is the best, but trying to get Hayes makes sense. You could change it to Bjork instead of JFK and it still be valid. I personally think it will only take 1 pick and 1 prospect (probably Lauzon or Bjork if you go "higher" end).
I meant blind and not blindsided. That was a typo.

Bruins need depth scoring. They need a guy with good size, skill, decent speed, versatility. Why doesnt he make sense? Give me a reason why he doesn't make sense for Boston instead of saying he doesn't.

1. Price tag
2. Cap hit
3. Position
4. I don’t think he’s that good
5. Everyone in his family sees to go on a bender whenever they’re in Boston.

1. Price tag won't be terribly high.
2. Cap hit- this one is unknowable for the future, but for this season it isn't much
3. Guy plays wing and center. Could easily move to the right side with Bergeron and Marchand or stay on 2nd line wing
4. His stats say otherwise, not just points
5. No clue on this one as I don't live in Boston and have no knowledge of what they do during the off time.

1. Yet you have him gong for a first, and two good prospect. The bruins aren’t giving up a first for him and going back to back years without a first.
2. Cap hit this year puts them into overage penalty territory.
3. I don’t think he’s a very good winger.
5. Jimmy practically killed himself in Boston. Those guys go bananas in this town.

Hard pass at that price

1. This wasn't my trade. Two top prospects and 1st aren't my price tag
2. It won't put them in the overage. They have deadline cap space and could even include sending Nordstrom back in the deal or Frederic down and that pays for Hayes.
3. He's been a solid winger so not sure where you're getting that idea from.
5. That sounds like a hell of a good time
