Honestly WSH probably doesn’t want Cousins in this deal, too many left-hand draws and his career FO% is not great. Panik could fit, though.

Then build a team that shows that. Cap space doesn't win championships, and if MacLellan goes all "Tom Wilson" in talking with Vrana and Djoos, whom many other teams would have bridged by now around 3M and 1M, respectively.... 2M of extra cap space won't make any difference this summer.

Burakovsky started the season with 3 points in twenty games. He has seven in his last twelve. I don't know if he can keep that up, but that's a 48 point pace, while playing on the 3rd and 4th line. He's back. Don't Panik.
