Here it is

Team: 2018-19 Columbus Blue Jackets
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 15, 2019
Published: Feb. 15, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
TBH Florida would be stupid to give up assets for Bob and Bread right now, don't see that happening. Even if CBJ boosted the roster a little at the TDL, they aren't consistent enough to make a serious cup run. Move Bob, move Bread, load up for the next few seasons. Gotta play chess, not checkers.
Trades
1.
CBJ
  1. Meloche, Nicolas
  2. Varlamov, Semyon
  3. 2019 1st round pick (COL)
COL
  1. Bobrovsky, Sergei ($1,525,000 retained)
  2. Carlsson, Gabriel
Additional Details:
Bob and Varly have similar numbers, but historically Bob performs better down the stretch and easy access to some edibles calms his playoff anxiety.

Teams also swap D prospects
2.
CBJ
  1. Fiala, Kevin
  2. Tolvanen, Eeli
  3. 2019 1st round pick (NSH)
NSH
  1. Panarin, Artemi ($2,000,000 retained)
  2. 2019 3rd round pick (CBJ)
Additional Details:
Everyone knows he's a rental, the question is, who is desperate enough to outbid the others. Teams like STL, BOS, NYI might be interested, but probably wouldn't want to give up young value. In the end it comes down to TBL or NSH. I think Poile feels the pressure to get back to the cup and gets it done.
3.
DET
  1. Kukan, Dean
  2. Varlamov, Semyon
  3. 2019 1st round pick (NSH)
Additional Details:
Varly gets flipped for Howard

If Poile gave that up for a rental he should be fired.

oh look just what CBJ doesn't need. A 35 year old goalie.

If he wins a cup, who cares? Window is starting to close

Yeah, maybe not. I'm just curious what it would look like to have a confident goalie in the ploffs

This team needs to stay the course and let the youth play. If they trade it should be for more 1st, and good prospects. 2 years. That's when I expect to see this team in the ECF. And when they get there, they will win.

closes even faster if you don't win this year and you just sent 2 young up and coming assets + a 1st rounder. Pekka plays like he did last offseason then Panarin doesn't keep them in there. There's so many variables in there that getting Panarin would likely make nashville go from around a 8.5% chance of winning to ~15% chance of winning. Panarin leaves in the offseason and nashville is left with a gaping hole at LW with noone to fill it

I agree. I'm all aboard the sell train right now. Got a lot of kids that need roster spots
