Seeing Lindholm on the 3rd line and a AHL lifer on the 4th line is what bothers me the most...where is T. Moore?

We should try to keep Hyman. He is Darren McCarty 2.0

Well ofc we value him highly. He is a very good player on a great contract.

Trade value wise this is probably fine, not sure I want Hamilton tho, the rumors aren't great and trading away one of your best contracts when you are in a cap crunch is not a smart move (we also don't have strong c depth beyond Kadri).

Also, because of those aforementioned rumours and the fact he is on the block so soon, I'm willing to bet Hamilton's value is lower than this acgm would suggest.

Dreadful overall. Leafs need to jettison cap for sure. Hamilton for Kadri is lateral trade. But trading away those other players just so put 5th line winger Ennis to play 3rd line centre. Lindholm a 4th line centre or wingers up to 3rd liner winger. Accardi and Wilson regulars and Liljegeren on the team next year. shakes head

Aside from the Kadri trade, the rest is weak. Hyman is not gonna get traded and Marleau will likely become the third centre. They will likely call up Bracco and/or Moore next year. Rosen is coming up next and Oz is going back to Russia because he will be paid double there.

Kadri is a good 2C. Hamilton is a top pairing rhd (other than this season). He’s also younger. Canes easily pass

the ONLY way this is even considered a good idea, is if the Leafs think Nylander is ready for a full time centre job at 3C (I don't think he is yet, give it a season or a bit more still). Other than that you severely diminish one of their greatest strengths which is their centre depth. Babcock loves working from centre depth out. If Kadri is moved and Nylander can't play centre.. Matthews gets hurt again.. that leaves the Leafs centre depth at Tavares... that's it. who else? it wouldn't matter how good their defence was at that point, they'd get slaughtered.

Hamilton, as mentioned is a sketchy fella.
As much as I think we should free up some cap by moving him (only if the deal is a good one), this trade however.does nothing to help us.

You could also potentially get a 3rd and perhaps a 6th or 7th if you push it for Brown. Hyman has a NTC coming into effect next year making him harder to deal. Why you would want to when he is o e of the main go to guys for PK is beyond me. Especially at this age and contract. Plus his books are to die for.

All in all, the right idea is there, just not structured well. And this is coming from me...

Cheers!
