Quoting: BurgerBoss
Zucc half retained is worth 1st+Bowey. So your offer for the 7th overall pick from 2017 is pretty much Johansen, Bau-Hansen and a conditional 3rd round pick.
NYR easily declines. Andersson's much more valuable than what you're offering.
If the issue is Zuccarello, I mean, the Caps aren't short of right wings who can play in middle six roles. Even with Oshie out: Wilson, Burakovsky, Connolly, Smith-Pelly, Jaskin, Barber, Megna, Sgarbossa, or Travis Boyd can play right wing.
Zuccarello's good, but if we're talking about this like the Caps really need a right wing because Oshie left a game early for no reason anyone's aware of?
Maybe we should focus on just talking about adding a top center prospect, while also being willing to take back a right wing as a cap dump, if Oshie happens to be out for a while.
Maybe the Rangers get all the picks and prospets in the world for Zuccarello, Kreider, and Fast. Or maybe they're happy to just move one of them cheaply and develop new guys while they're rebuilding, rather than spend more years losing, unnecessarily, because they waited too long for just the right offer?
