Morrow and kulikov worth more to wpg than anyone else, petan and Appleton both have limited value, pearraults contract is higher than his value, I would hate to lose Lemieux, I think he’s going to develop into quite the player and the jets don’t really have a guy that plays up to his intensity. And the draftpicks are mediocre at best, being rentals though I think this sight exaggerated the market on the rentals, strict rentals probably still go for 1st and couple prospects

As a Ranger fan, I kind of like the mindset of this trade. For one, I am all about looking for trades to shed salary (Staal, Namestnikov, Smith, etc). But on the flip side, I am getting the feeling that the Rangers might not get the package they wanted for Hayes, due to all those big name pieces from Ottawa getting in the way. If they are unable to get the amount of picks they want for Hayes, then I am all for an alternative trade where we "take less" in an effort to move unwanted salary and free up Cap Space.

This is a pretty bad take. It's not like you're the only team willing to trade for Stone. There are many, and they all beat this offer. It's not trash, but Appleton can't be the main piece. I think that's pretty fair. If we were trying to get Scheifele from you guys, would you want Rudolfs Balcers as the main piece coming back? He's gonna be a good player, but not even in the same stratosphere as Stone or Scheifele.

If Scheifele wasn't going to re-sign as a FA, WPG sucked and was going thru a rebuild, it's possible.... remember, Stone and Duchene will get decent returns but sure won't get multiple picks and prospects back

Rangers aren't taking Petan. They already have him in their system, under the name Ty Ronning. Roslovic, Appleton...sure, either will fit; but, the Rangers are not taking Petan.
