I like the trade -- a lot -- but there's that pesky detail of Johnson's absolute no-trade clause . . .

Pesce could get you something better. JT is good and all but you could get a younger, better piece probably. Supposidely CAR wouldn't even move Pesce for Nylander.

That's an unsubstantiated rumor, probably started by Carolina uber-fans on this site suggesting such a trade and outraged Toronto fans vociferously rejecting it.

I got to agree here,

Personally i would want a little more for Pesce

even more so i would rather see Hamilton or Faulk moved (even if Faulk fetches a little less)

Certainly doesn't solve Tampa's possible cap crunch although the trade if fair. But as suggested above, Johnson would not appear to any motivation to waive his NTC.
