Eihlers isn't playing well and they need cap space, they save $1.5M trading Keith for Eihlers and Keith's actual salary is quite cheap starting next year and declining plus term is only 4 years. For a cup run, Keith would be more valuable then Eihlers given the play from both this season.

Yes, I'm sure Winnipeg wants to trade a top line winger and a good cost controlled depth piece for an aging 4D on a bad contract and a bust

Trading Ehlers for Stone or Keith would be an absolutely moronic move by the Jets.
I wouldn't mind getting Keith but not at the cost of Ehlers, at this point Keith is worth at most a couple 2nds and a B-grade prospect.

I think the Jets need to look at their cap situation. It's obvious they need another leader or at the least some depth on their lines but they are also headed to a tough cap situation. They would be crazy not to look at unloading some cap space and maybe not Ehlers but who?
