Lose for Hughes! Lose for Hughes!

The Rask trade was awful. I think he's a potential buyout candidate next offseason.

It looked like ? when they made it. It’s not going to get better with age.

Zucker for Jankowski and Kylington? What else would need to be added?

Yeah I meant the offseason after this offseason, but that wasn't very clear re-reading my comment

It’s all good but yeah I could see rask be bought If we don’t have 3rd Line center and if say we get center in draft( Hughes) just saying it for fun and if EK is the #2 center I could see rask being the #3 center if Koivu Retires most likely will after his contract

I think that even if we drafted Hughes, he could probably benefit a ton from playing in Europe for a year like Matthews did. That would time his arrival to be the same year as Kaprizov

Roll with Staal - Eriksson Ek/Koivu - Koivu/Eriksson Ek - Rask down the middle next year and the following year have Staal - Eriksson Ek - Hughes - Rask/whomever with plans to eventually swap Staal and Hughes

If Lee was willing to sign 4x6, he would've with the Isles by now.

Yeah I know Laferinere is doing what Matthews did and playing in Europe but we could use another Russian to help Kaprizovs transition to the US more comfortable

Edit: Granlund returns back to Minnesota on Sunday so most likely a Tribute Video for him

This might be because I'm a Bruins fan, but I personally don't think the deal you're talking about is the "Rask Deal" He's litterally not the biggest piece in the trade and not worth naming a trade after. All fan of impartial teams would probably call it the Niederreiter trade #2. If you're like "Rask Deal" I think of the Bruins goaltender for Andrew Raycroft. If you're like no the Rask to Minnesota deal. I'd be like "I vaguely remember a guy who sucks and is overpaid, but honestly he's not good enough to be memorable...." Niederreiter is actually a solid player which is why I thought that deal was brutal and he's the one that's good enough to be remembered years down the road. Rask probably plays better next season than he did this season, but he's like a C+ player and Niederreiter is a B+ lol.

Well, I can almost guarantee it won't be Anders. The Isles wouldn't name him Captain if they thought he would leave. And while Lou runs an incredibly tight ship on Long Island it is known that the Isles and Lee's representation have had pretty in-depth negotiation throughout the season. I expect that to get done.

Our other UFAs (Nelson and Eberle) have had no negotiations. So if either of the two players wind up being a Wild my money is on Nelson.

I wouldn't let you give me Eberle! OK, maybe I would let you give him to me...but I wouldn't sign him this summer. I'd be happy with Nelson...if the Wild didn't already have WAY TOO MANY left-shot forwards! Why can't Fenton figure this out???
