Kessels value isn't as high as it used to be, just reality. Kap is a young, fast, 2 way player with so much potential, I think its a fair trade.. Even tho Toronto is looking for d, they can always flip the assets we are giving them. The Bennetts and Kapanens of the world are the guys the pens should target to play with their stars, if its overpaying to some, then so be it. That Winnipeg deal might be reaching a bit but hey...

What do you mean his value isn’t as high as it used to be? The guy literally just came off a 90 point season and is on pace to do over 80 points again this year. And that’s with some saying he slumped this year. He could definitely get more than that.

the only reasonable deal is the bjugstad deal. The rest are absolutely terrible.

How many of those points were on the pp? How did he play in last years playoffs? How is he playing this year? To his standards, he’s performing like a declining athlete. And going back to the trade, ok whatever make the other team give more. Point is we get rid of him for some young talent
