Ill take healthy letang over healthy Jones but they’re both scratches on this roaster so it doesn’t really matter. Other than that good job I really like this

TBH and this is coming from a Kings fan not being biased...I think Burns is actually better than Doughty.

You're a deluded homer fanboy if you think Marner is better than any one of Kane, Kucherov, Stone or Wheeler.

Also, Rielly isn't as good as Josi, Giordano or Hedman.

Rielly has the most goals of any d men in the league has the second highest +/- of all d men playing against top lines and he has 2nd most points for d men. Marner has almost 20 points more than stone has a higher +/- than stone by 8 playing against top lines, plays two ways not just an offensive threat like stone and is one of the best playmakers in the league. Andersen was also a veizna trophy candidate until his latest three games butis still better than price because he has 0 d in front of him and still has them in a playoff spot, price on the other hand has tried but is up and down each game. I rest my case. Make sure you check my facts because I can assure you, they are all valid and correct. Have fun with making more of these ?

Edit: wheeler (20 goals 67 assists) also has only 2 points more than Marner (24 goals 61 assists) and they both play defence when needed too. so they are really the same so neither is better than the other just to add more fuel to the fire

Points don't determine skill and +/- is irrelevant.

There. I debunked your entire paragraph in half a sentence.

BTW: Stone is one of the best defensive forwards in the league this year. Miles better than Marner

i moved from Buffalo to Cali and watch nearly every Sharks game-Burns is great offensively but he really is below average at the defensive aspects of the game....he has so many awful turnovers and gets walked like 5 times every game...

you really can tell by watching him that he used to be a forward

This is coming from someone that bought his jersey lol hes an electric player dont get me wrong but Doughty is a simply a better all around natural #1 d man...has 2 cups as the lead horse back there

Prior to Ek65s arrival Sharks would always put out Vlasic against other teams top lines because Burns is somewhat of a liability in his own zone...

okay leaf boy lol

all three of those goalies are better than Andersen. its close between vasilevskiy and Freddy but given both have been solid this year Im giving the nod to the guy who was a vezina candidate last season

at this moment in time Stone is better than Marner imo but it is close and i will admit Marner will definitely surpass him very soon

Rielly is close with Jones no doubt but Rielly really took
a big step this season...Jones has been a beast for longer-he recieved norris votes last season....

Carey Price? Lol.

hes trending down for sure but has definitely had a better year this season than his previous 2...Price didnt earn 10.5 mil/year by being a slouch...

even him off his game somewhat is still better than most goalies in the league.

sure he may not have the best numbers right now but he is the most fundamentally sound goalie in the league....

The players just voted Price as the goalie they would take if they had to win one game...just shows hes still viewed around the league as the best goalie

Points show your offensive output, +/- shows wether you have been o the ice for a goal against or a goal for so Marner has a +/- of 24 meaning he has been on the ice for a goal differential of +24 which means he scores and defends to stop goals from going in wow +/- means nothing just debunked your sentence and 20 points is a large difference so Is 8 in +/-. This is Mainers 3rd season in the NHL he’s has a career 215 points in 230 games that’s 0.94 points per game, stone has 317 points in 374 games that’s 0.85 points per game in 7 NHL season. Stone-4 seasons more than Marner, only 102 points more in 144 more games meaning if this keeps up Marner will have a better offensive output for his career making him better Offensively. Yes stone is better defensively but Marner is still a close second. And to wrap this up if these stats don’t matter then why are they stats in the NHL?

So what your saying is stone could be -20 while Marner is +20 and stone is still the better all around player. Yes the stat is dumb but it still shows how you are on the ice 5v5 wether a lot of goals are going in while your on the ice or goals are going in for you while your on the ice

+/- rewards 5 players for being on the ice when a goal is scored when at best 3 contributed to it. It's a dumb stat. It doesn't show any indication of how good a player is. If it did, Ron Hainsey should be considered one of the best defenders in the league.

Points don't show skill, if that's the case then Mikko Rantanen must be better than Alex Ovechkin.

They are stats that are used so that idiots like you are continually mislead as to who is good and who is not.

If you put any faith into analytics, you see that Stone is the far superior player. His shot shares are so much better than Marner both offensively and defensively (not saying that Marner is bad, but Stone is on another level).

no it shows that Mark Stone played for the Ottawa Senators (last place team) for the majority of the season and Mitch Marner plays for the Leafs (top 10 team).

If Stone was traded to Vegas before the season started we wouldn’t even be having this discussion.

Look I told you they are close but Marner is still just 21 years old...Mark Stone is in his prime

the fact that their point production is very close while Stone has been the best player on his team (both OTT and VGK) and hasnt had anyone with a remotely close skill level as John Tavares or Auston Matthews playing with him should tell you all you need to know

add in that Mark Stone is arguably the best defensive winger in the NHL and the debate is over

Really. two things 1. This guy that created this is a sabres fan what does he know about good players they only have eichel. And 2. All these guys are the “name players” that every f***ing person knows whether they watch hockey or not and yes rantanen is great player but your comparing him to a 33 yr old who has played 14 yrs in the NHL so no s**t The future hall of famer is better and there is a trophy at the end of the year for the player with the most points so I guess it means nothing. Every stat means something but +/- and points don’t have the most significance to them compared to other stats

Hall has only hit 30 goals once and has totaled 80 points twice. Marchand has hit 30+ goals in 4 straight seasons, 85+ in the past three while also being one of the best pests, two-way F and penalty killers in the league. I dont care if Hall had one good year with decent linemates, Marchand is 100% better

I love how you proved me right. Stone is in his prime putting up less points than Marner who is 21, Marner also gets better scoring chances and helps create better scoring chances. Stone is way better defensively but Marner still has time to get better if we look at every statistic out there stone and Marner are probably tied. You can’t compare a big offensive output forward with a big defensive forward it’s just doesn’t make any sense so with that being said this is done
