Or just acquire him as a free agent and don't move the 2nd overall pick from two years ago...

No thank you...

I know you didn't do anything with the lines but look at all those dmen on that roster. We aren't about to trade Patrick for a position of strength (assuming some of these guys continue to grow). I'd trade Ghost and Hagg for Trouba. Would give us Provorov, Trouba, Sanheim, Myers, Morin, and Gudas with Mac as the reserve. That would be a crazy good core with a lot of size and speed.

Thanks for your feedback, but I disagree that the flyers defence is their strong position. They have good LHD with Provorov Sanheim and Ghost, but beside Myers, they dont have a good RHD. I think for Myers developpement it would be better if he cant play on the second pair behind Trouba. It would br hard to give up on Patrick, but i think its the price to pay to get a #1 D. Also i think Frost could fit yhe 2C spot in a couplr of years

Sanheim is currently playing RD with Provy and Ghost spent nearly all last year on RD with Provy. I agree, Trouba would be a great add but it will not be for Patrick.

What about the Jets though? A Trouba trade and a loss of Tyler Myers as a UFA and they suddenly only have Byfuglien as a RHD. It almost seems like a Ghost and Gudas package makes more sense.

It might actually make more sense to seriously commit to Trouba long-term possibly re-sign Myers and trade Byfuglien.

Trouba doesnt want to stay in Winnipeg. I doubt it would be to trade Byfuglien with his massive contract

It's been a few years since Trouba said anything about wanting out. Things could have changed and the success in Winnipeg lately would surely help.

He's an rfa

Obviously if he's leaving, he signs a one-year deal and after that he's UFA
