They have room now but they got Provorov Sanheim and konecny to sign this year, Patrick and Lindbolm next year. They dont have that much cap space in the future

Happy to see it’s not a leaf being sent a sheet for once lol. Too bad the Habs are looking for a lhd I think Trouba naught be ripe for a 1 year sheet and would take the compensation.

Some better targets might be Werenski, Lindell or Edmundson.

Oh yes they have enough cap space, Schlemko MacDonald Gudas will be expired, that means +10M.

Draft... develop.... you’re talking 3-5 years away before you have the Dman you need now. Not saying that they need to send out a sheet but maybe there is a trade or ufa to be had. I think gardiner would be a good ufa target.

Tell me, is Ryan Poehling, Nick Suzuki, Alex Romanov, Josh Brook, Jesse Ylonen, Joni Ikonen are in the line-up actually ? No, I dont think Broberg Byram will take 3-5 years to make the NHL when Victor Mete, 4th round pick he's playing top pair since 19 yo. Are best prospect are not actually in the line-up, MTL will be contenders when those prospect will come in the line-up and Drouin Domi Gallagher will be the veterans.

Is Mete an actual top pairing Dman? We both know the answer is no. 112 games in and still looking for his first goal. Rushed into a position out of necessity. Most Dmen (even 1st rounders Ned a year or 2 in the ahl to develop) there are certainly exceptions but Dmen don’t normally come from juniors to be top pairing Dmen.

We are talking about MTL, so if MTL draft Broberg, he will be a top pairing defenseman in 1 year. We dont have LHD, Mete Romanov ( KHL ) Kulak thats it
